Concluding Remarks

 

The writing of the blog contributed in many ways to enhance the learning outcome from the Managing People in the global context subject matter. Three important objectives where achieved through this process 

1. Learning the subject matter in-depth through classroom learning, lectures, reading and research. Human resource management its practice and concepts where learnt in-depth. The changing trends, impact of technology on HRM, the challenges face via globalization, international best practices, The functions of human resources management and new areas of knowledge such as development in HR practice through the influence of online processes, information technology, social media and Human Resource Management Information Systems and Big Data Analytic and changing roles of HR managers.

Second learnt important lessons such as critical thinking, credibility of the sources of research what to accept and what to discard in research writing. This is an area that has not been address in professional studies in Insurance industry and work life and practices at work. Also learnt new areas of the discipline of research methods and how to apply it to writing research articles and papers which is very important to display credibility and systematic or scientific approach to research.

Third and important skilled gained in this subject and writing the blog is that it was possible to enhance the writing skills, reflection skills and its importance in work or private life situations. Particularly with the increase in volumes of information that one is force to review today from multiple sources of media not excluding TV, Internet and social media to determine if some information is credible or not require reflection and critical thinking skills and this was another milestone achieve through writing experience for the blog.

Some individuals in this contents have to be thanked the colleagues in the class of the MBA program the resource personnel and the coordinator of the MBA at Esoft Kandy Campus for the opportunity to study and enhance skills and competencies in a Short but intensive manner. Additionally the opportunity to interact network and gain rich knowledge in this program is outstanding and highly satisfying experience.
